Matt Murdock Explains Why He Thinks He Needs To Go To Hell In Marvel’s Preview daredevil #12.
daredevil #12 comes from writer Chip Zdarsky, artist Marco Checchetto, colorist Matthew Wilson, and Clayton Cowles of Letter VC. In a preview provided by Marvel for the issue, Matt recounts that the souls of Foggy and “world leaders” are now trapped in Hell – a realization Matt realized earlier in the series when he discovered that the hand had pretended to be Foggy. and Stick. Feeling the need to save his friend, Matt prepares to venture into Hell by stabbing himself with a sword; however, Elektra Natchios shows up and tries to talk him out of it.

“We will find a way to bring [Foggy] back,” Elektra tells Matt, whom she married in daredevil #4. “It may take time, but we will.” Matt, however, doesn’t seem completely convinced that Elektra is right and is still determined to find a way to save Foggy and Stick as quickly as possible. “It’s a tornado,” he says. “And the thing about tornadoes is when you’re in a person’s eye, when you’re close enough to actually be in it…”
Marvel reboots Daredevil in September
Marvel Revealed Matt Murdock Will Be Headed To Hell In Solicitation Info For daredevil #13, which comes out July 5. The issue’s synopsis reads, “DAREDEVIL IN HELL! Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto are on the final leg of their tour de force through Matt Murdock’s life…and beyond.” The flow daredevil the series will then wrap up in August before writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Aaron Kuder begin a new one. daredevil reboot in September 2023. “I only wanted to take this job if I felt like I had a unique new vision for Matt and Hell’s Kitchen,” Ahmed previously said. “And so that’s central to that… him and his world, but that’s the Marvel Universe. What I’ve really enjoyed talking to other editors, other offices, is finding ways through these first two arcs that we’ve planned to keep this centered on Matt, keep this centered on his people, in his world, but to bring in (in a very organic and surprising fun way) familiar Marvel characters who, I think, will blow people away when they appear on the page!”
