Tom Hiddleston really feels how the development of the cross-universe concept used by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after the series he starred in, Loki, was released in 2021. While talking to Entertainment Weekly some time ago, Hiddleston did not hide his satisfaction in seeing the MCU multiverse, including Spider-Man No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
According to Hiddleston, Loki’s first season was a new sensation for him and the audience because he pulled Loki from a familiar story into a new but interconnected story in the MCU universe.

Tom Hiddleston himself admitted that Loki’s story also made him excited to finish developing the story of Thor’s half brother. However, he realized that Loki’s first season was the beginning of a cross-universe narrative.
Some of the most satisfying MCU cross-universe stories for Tom Hiddleston are Spider-Man No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2. Moreover, in No Way Home, there are three Spider-Man stories also experienced by Loki who meets his other self in the series.

“You know what? Even since the first season of [Loki] came out, it got really interesting. I remember going to see Spider-Man No Way Home and thinking, Oh yeah there were three Spider-Mans in there, [and we] also had two Loki, ‘ said Hiddleston, laughing.
“Or Multiverse of Madness, that’s something that’s now real and exists, because it’s alive for the audience as it was for us when we made it, but we have to keep our mouths shut.”

Prior to this, Hiddleston also confirmed that the second season of Loki would expand his universe, as well as introduce several new characters. This was confirmed directly by the cast and Marvel at the panel at the D23 Expo, Anaheim, California.
“Season two will continue what was not finished in season one,” said Tom Hiddleston while attending the Marvel Studios panel at the D23 Expo, as reported by Geek Culture, Monday (12/9). “Loki will return to TVA (Time Variance Authority) and Mobius doesn’t seem to know who he is,” he continued describing Loki’s second season will run.
Loki 2 will introduce a new character played by actor Ke Huy Quan. He is an actor who played a role in the films Everything Everywhere All At Once and Indiana Jones. However, the details of the character that will be played by Quan are still kept secret. Likewise with the official release date of Loki 2 later.

The Loki series focuses on Loki’s whereabouts after escaping after being captured by the Avengers in the film Avengers: Endgame (2019) using the Tesseract. Instantly the journey took Loki to a desert that was foreign to him.
He was confused about the place before being arrested and taken to the headquarters of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the organization that protects and manages the multi-universe from threats that could endanger all existing realities. Loki 2 is expected to be released in 2023.
