Production on Thunderbolts has been halted for the next Marvel movie which will feature a team of villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Deadline, Marvel has suspended production on the film. This comes just three weeks before filming begins in Atlanta. According to the report, production of Thunderbolts will resume after the WGA strike ends. It’s the latest Marvel project to be delayed, as previously pre-production on Blade was halted and production on the Wonder Man Disney+ series in Los Angeles.
When will the movie Thunderbolts be released?
Thunderbolts was previously scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 26, 2024, as part of Phase 5. Depending on how long the strike lasts, it could miss that date and be pushed back. However, no new date has yet been announced as the situation is still pending.
During the Marvel Studios panel at D23, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the cast of the upcoming Love at first sight movie, which will be a team of mostly supervillains and antiheroes. It includes Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah Jon-Kamen), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kerleynko), Yelena Belova/Black Widow (Florence Pugh ) and The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).
The film will be directed by Jake Schreier, whose history as a director is not extremely long, having only worked on Robot & Frank in 2012, Paper Towns in 2015 and the filmed version in 2021 of Chance the Rapper’s Magnificent. Coloring World Tour.
