A 2024 premiere date has been announced for The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup semi-final animated.
The anime’s logo, in the colors of the Japanese and German teams, was also released.
The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup premiered in July 2022. It was the first The Prince of Tennis 2 Anime TV since 2012 and took place after the events of the 2014 OVA The Prince of Tennis II OVA vs. Genius10.

The staff of The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup understand Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Higurashi: When they cry – GOU, Higurashi: When they cry – Sotsu) as a director, Akiharu Ishii (Nobility) as character designer and chief animation director, Mitsutaka Hirota (EDENS ZERO) as the series’ composer, and Chihiro Tamaki (Ongaku Shojo) as a music composer. Kai Studio And MSc are the animation production studios.
Meanwhile, the voice cast includes Junko Minagawa like Ryouma Echizen, Ryoutarou Okiayu like Kunimitsu Tezuka, Hiroki Yasumoto like Houou Byoudouin, JUnichi Suwabe like Keigo Atobe, Sachiko Nagai like Seiichi Yukimura, Yoshimasa Hosoya like Kuranosuke Shiraishi, Tarusuke Shingaki as Eishirō Kite, and Mamoru Miyano like Ryouga Echizen.
The Prince of Tennis manga series by Takeshi Konomi began in 1999, while the sequel The Prince of Tennis 2 (The new prince of tennis in Japan) begins serialization at Jump Square in 2009 and has 38 tankōbon volumes as of February 2023.
The manga series has spawned several anime series, OVAs, and movies, with the first Prince of Tennis TV anime running from 2001 to 2007.
