The production team of sugar apple fairy tale anime released a main PV trailer for the second court in the series. The anime will air again on July 7, 2023 after the first short aired from January 6, 2023 to March 24, 2023.
Additionally, more voice cast members were added to the show. They understand Nobuhiko Okamoto like Orlando, Koji Okino as king, Atsushi Tamaru like valentine, Shoya Chiba like Nadhir, Souma Saito like Gladys, and Manaka Iwami as Noah.
New Voice Cast Members Join Yuka Nukui like Anne Halford, Masaaki Mizunaka like Shall Fen Shall, Rie Takahashi under the name Mythrill Reid Pod, and Tomoaki Maeno like Hugh Mercury.
The anime series is directed by Youhei Suzuki (Kiyo in Kyoto, Million Arthur) with Seishi Minakami (Vatican Examiner of Miracles) as a series screenwriter, Haruko Iizuka (Josée, the tiger and the fish, Horimiya) as a character designer, and Hinako Tsubakiyama (Sabikui cookie co-composer) as a music composer. JCSTAFF is in charge of the animation production for the series.
The anime is based on the light novels written by Miri Mikawa and illustrated by Aki. It ran from March 31, 2010 to February 1, 2015 with a total of 18 volumes released by December 2022, which also includes two short story collections. The series was released under the Kadokawa Beans Bunko label.
Two manga adaptations have been released. The first manga adaptation was published by Hakusensha and adapted by Yukimura Top. It was serialized on the Hana to Yume Online website from November 2012 to October 2014 and released two tankoubon volumes.
Another manga adaptation of Yozora no Udon was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine on November 4, 2021. Two tankoubon volumes were published in December 2022. Yen Press published the second manga adaptation in English, simultaneously with the Japanese release.
