Seth MacFarlane to Adapt The Shrouded College Horror-Adventure Graphic Novel Series

Seth MacFarlane is bringing Hell To Pay, the first story in The Shrouded College graphic novel series, to Peacock.

According to a report from Deadline , Peacock and Seth MacFarlane are teaming up for an adaptation of The Shrouded College action horror graphic novel series . The Orville creator is developing the TV series through his company Fuzzy Door, which has secured the rights to the novels along with UCP.

Coming from comic veterans Charles Soule and Will Sliney, The Shrouded College is an ongoing series of seven interconnected stories that will be told in both comic and graphic novel formats over several years. Each novel tells a different story as various characters enlist to join the supernatural Cold War on behalf of the secret, declining organization known as the Shrouded College. These stories explored different horror tropes and themes, creating individual works that could stand on their own with their own unique nuances, but still played a role in the larger series that Soule and Sliney would continue to develop.

Image Comics published the first series, Hell to Pay , in November 2022 with the next story, The Bloody Dozen slated for release in late 2023. Hell to Pay plays on themes of greed and capitalism, following Maia Stone and her husband, Sebastian, as they make a deal with Shrouded College. They seek powerful magical abilities in exchange for collecting 666 gold coins for the Shrouded College, each of which can summon demons and all of them are wanted by the most powerful and vicious people on the planet. Collecting each coin means freedom for the Stones and a world saved from demonic forces, but no one knows what this organization has planned for the coins.

MacFarlane is a creator who has proven successful with the animated comedy Family Guy and other hits like The Orville and American Dad! More recently, he and his Fuzzy Door have been linked to a number of promising projects including an animated reboot of the Norman Lear sitcom classic Good Times and the prequel series Ted . The rugged teddy bear movie wrapped production last November and was expected to be as much of a surprise as ever, as MacFarlane exclusively said that the overall film would be very similar to his first film in 2012. Fuzzy Door is also preparing for a Naked Gun film .the latest from Akiva Schaffer starring Liam Neeson, as well as a Revenge of the Nerds reboot and The Winds of War limited series . The Shrouded College is MacFarlane’s newest project under his deal with NBCUniversal.
