Sandman’s Corinthian Returns With Nightmare Country Sequel Series

The Corinthian is returning for a new Sandman spinoff series, The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country – The Greenhouse #1.


Release in April, The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country – The Greenhouse #1 comes from writer James Tynion IV and artist Lisandro Estherren. Serving as a follow-up to Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country series launched in April 2022 (which is also by Tynion IV and Estherren), Greenhouse will see the Corinthians go to new locations to face a completely different criminal — investors. “I’m excited to announce that Nightmare Country’s follow-up miniseries, The Glass House, are coming in early 2023,” said Tynion. “The Corinthian will head to Silicon Valley, where he will come face to face with Angels, Demons, and the kind of creature far more terrifying than anything he has faced before—Venture Capitalists. Lisandro and I are excited to continue this nightmare tour through America. modern and can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store for you.”

DC also announced two different versions of Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country‘s collected edition will be released at the same time. Featuring artwork by Alex Eckman-Lawn, the collectible hardcover version comes packaged with an Endless Death miniprint, illustrated by Jenny Frison. A softcover edition with artwork by Reiko Murakami will also be available exclusively at live market comic book stores. Both versions were released on April 4, 2023.


DC’s Sandman Universe Continues to Grow Together Dead Boy Detective

On December 27th, DC will also start publishing The Sandman Universe: Dead Boy Detective, a six-issue miniseries from writer Pornsak Pichetshote, artist Jeff Stokely, colorist Miquel Muerto and letter writer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. Starring two fan-favorite characters from creator Neil Gaiman’s run on Sand ManThe synopsis reads, “The Sandman Universe grows as two of its most beloved characters return to the spotlight! Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine have been detectives for decades—and even longer as dead friends. But their investigation into the disappearance of an American girl- Thai from his Los Angeles home puts them on a collision course with new and terrifying ghosts that can give even dead boys nightmares—including a bloodthirsty krasue. Even scarier than ghosts? Even though no one wants to. admit it, the boy may have grown apart. And very close to the boy’s adventures, Thessaly the witch finds herself held hostage by a dangerous magic—both a threat to her life and an unanswered insult to her ego…”

The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country – The Greenhouse featuring cover art by Murakami. The first issue, which also includes a connected 1:50 incentive variant cover by Yoshitaka Amano, was released on April 4, 2023.
