Recently, The Cosmic Circus reported that Marvel Studios is preparing a Special Presentation that will focus on the Silver Surfer. The character who has the name Norrin Radd is famous as the herald Galactus who made his debut in the Fantastic Four comic #48 (1965). His appearance can be easily recognized by his completely silver body, and is often seen riding a silver cosmic surfboard as well.
Besides that, until now only Warewolf by Night has been shown by Marvel Special Presentation. Although broadcast on streaming channels, Werewolf By Night itself has a format like a short film with a duration of about one hour. With the story focused on new Marvel characters, including Jack Russell and Elsa Bloodstone, the show has indirectly expanded the MCU universe.
In the future, Special Presentation shows like this will likely become a new culture in the MCU. Starting from those that have been confirmed such as The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, to several other shows that have become rumors among fans.
Rumors of a Silver Surfer Special Presentation in the MCU
In its report, The Cosmic Circus even claims that the Silver Surfer show will air ahead of the Fantastic Four film. Precisely it should air earlier before Marvel Studios releases the Fantastic Four film on February 14, 2025. The story itself will take reference from the Netflix series The Sandman with a cosmic twist in it. However, Silver Surfer will not interact with the MCU cosmic characters that Marvel Studios has previously introduced.
If these rumors are true, given the planned release of the earlier Fantastic Four films, there is a possibility that Marvel Studios will indeed prepare Silver Surfer for the film as well. Because Silver Surfer and his master Galactus do have a very close relationship with the Fantastic Four. Does this mean it is time for the cosmic giant to appear? Only time can answer that. We’ll see how the news about this Special Presentation Silver Surfer goes, geeks.
