What is Record of Ragnarok about?
“Mankind’s greatest heroes battle the gods for the survival of the human race,” reads the series’ synopsis. “Once in a millennium, the gods come together to decide if mankind is worthy to continue to exist or if it should be destroyed! When the verdict is destruction, the final battle between gods and mortal heroes will decide the survival or extinction of the human race – a battle known as Ragnarok!”
Record of Ragnarok is based on the manga Record of Ragnarok, which was written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. The anime series adaptation comes from Graphicinica and Yuneta Company. The first part of Record of Ragnarok Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger featuring Buddha shocking everyone after declaring himself the new champion of mankind.
