50: New Mutants
Marvel Movies. When they discover their abilities, mutants are a threat to society and the individuals around them. Dr. Cecilia Reyes cares for four young mutants who are held against their will in a mysterious mental hospital. They are closely monitored by Cecilia Reyes, who teaches them how to use their powers to overcome past mistakes. Strange events happen in the hospital when Danielle Moonstar, a young woman who is very disturbed by the loss of her reserve, arrives.

Marvel Movies. In 1992 during the Space Shuttle Endeavour first mission, the spacecraft is damaged by a solar flare-like radiation. The president calls on the X-Men for help to save the astronauts. Jean, who is rescuing the crew, becomes overwhelmed by the energy. Her psychic abilities become more powerful, but her emotional state deteriorates, making it harder for her to control. Xavier reveals that he suppressed Jean’s memory of causing her father’s car accident as a child in order to prevent her from becoming unstable. However, her enhanced powers are destroying her mental blocks and she develops PTSD. Jean sees visions of her father, and travels to her hometown to find him. He is alive and has forsaken Jean.

Marvel Movies. Bor, the father of Odin, is attacked by the Dark Elf Malekith who wants to unleash the Aether weapon on the nine realms. Bor, father of Odin, defeats Malekith’s forces on the home world Svartalfheim. The Kursed are enhanced warriors and Bor protects the Aether in a stone column. Bor is unaware that Malekith and a few Dark Elves escaped into suspended animation. Loki is currently imprisoned in Asgard for his war crimes against Earth. Thor and his fellow warriors Volstagg, Fandral, and Sif repel marauders at Vanaheim, the home of their comrade Hogun. It is the last battle in a war against the Nine Realms after the reconstruction of Bifrost (the “Rainbow Bridge”, between realms that was destroyed two years ago). Soon, the Asgardians learn of the Convergence. This rare alignment of the Nine Realms is near; portals linking the worlds begin to appear at random as the event draws near.
47: The Amazing Spider-Man II
Marvel Movies. Richard Parker, a former Oscorp scientist turned businessman, records a video message in which he explains his disappearance. Mary Parker, his wife, and he attempt to flee aboard a private plane that is hijacked. The couple are killed when the jet crashes. Two years later, Richard and Mary’s child, Peter, continue to fight crime as Spider-Man. They also capture Aleksei Sytsevich, a Russian criminal. Gwen and Peter have ended their relationship following their high school graduation due to Peter’s concerns about their relationship. Gwen made a vow to her father to not be with her after Peter died. Peter’s childhood friend Harry Osborn returns home to visit his terminally ill father Norman Osborn (CEO of Oscorp). He explained that the illness is genetic, and Harry is the one who develops it. Norman is killed and Harry is named the new CEO.
46: Venom
Marvel Movies. A probe of the Life Foundation, a bio-engineering company, discovers a comet while searching space for habitable worlds. Four samples are returned to Earth by the probe, but one escapes, causing the ship to crash in Malaysia. The Life Foundation retrieves the three remaining samples and transports them to San Francisco. There they find that the symbiotes can’t survive without oxygen-breathing host, which frequently rejects the symbiosis. Eddie Brock, an investigative journalist, reads about the human trials in a classified file in the possession Anne Weying (an attorney who is preparing a defense to the Life Foundation’s lawsuit). Brock confronts Carlton Drake, CEO of the Life Foundation, about the trials. This leads to Weying and Brock losing their jobs. Weying and Brock end their relationship.

Marvel Movies. Tony Stark and Maya Hansen meet at a New Year’s Eve celebration in 1999. Maya Hansen is the inventor of Extremis, an experimental regenerative therapy that allows for recovery from severe injuries. Stark refuses to accept the offer of disabled scientist Aldrich Kilnan to give them a spot in Advanced Idea Mechanics. Thirteen years later, and months after the Battle of New York ended, Stark suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. He is experiencing anxiety attacks and panic attacks as a result of his experiences with the alien invasion and subsequent battle. He is restless and has made dozens of Iron Man suits to deal with his insomnia. This creates friction with Pepper Potts, his girlfriend. Intelligence agencies are baffled by the lack of forensic evidence after a string of bombings claimed to be by the Mandarin terrorist.

Marvel Movies. The Guardians of the Galaxy are Peter Quill and Gamora, Drax and Rocket. Ayesha, the leader of the Sovereign races, orders the Guardians to protect precious batteries from Abilisk, an intra-dimensional monster. In exchange, Gamora’s sister Nebula was caught trying to steal the batteries. Rocket robs the batteries and the Sovereign attacks their ship with a fleet drones. The Guardians crash-land on another planet after a mysterious figure disarms the drones. This figure, who reveals himself to be Quill’s father Ego, invites Gamora and Drax on his home planet. Rocket and Groot stay behind to fix the ship and protect Nebula. Ayesha employs Yondu Udonta, a child trafficker exiled from the Ravager community, and his crew to capture the Guardians.
43: Venom: Let There be Carnage
Marvel Movies. Cletus Kasady, a young man, watches as Frances Barrison, his beloved, is transferred from St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children is now the Ravencroft Institute. She uses her sonic screaming powers to escape and attacks Patrick Mulligan, a young policeman. Barrison is shot in the right eye by him, causing him fall from his truck and an ear injury. Mulligan believes that he killed Barrison. Barrison is then taken to the facility. The facility is modified against her will. Today, Mulligan, now a detective contacts Eddie Brock to talk to Kasady. A serial killer, Kasady refuses to speak with Eddie. With the help of the Venom symbiote, Eddie is able to locate Kasady’s victims’ bodies. This gives Eddie a huge boost in his career. It angers Mulligan, who has seen the reporter succeed where police failed.
42: X-Men: Apocalypse
Marvel Movies. The powerful, but elderly mutant En Sabah Nur is the ruler of ancient Egypt in 3600 BC. He and his four companions are attacked after a ceremony where his consciousness is transferred to another man’s body in an attempt to obtain his healing factor. His followers are killed, and he is left alive. Alex Summers, his brother, takes Scott to Professor Charles Xavier’s educational institute in 1983. He hopes that Xavier will help him control his mutation to shoot optic beams. Scott meets Jean Grey, a telepathic and highly telekinetic woman. They develop an attraction. A group of worshippers awaken En Sabah Nur. Ororo Munroe, an orphan, is his friend and he learns about humanity. He decides that humanity is lost and plans to rebuild the world. After he increases her power, Munroe becomes his disciple.
41: Hulk
Marvel Movies. David Banner is a genetics researcher working for the government to improve human DNA. His supervisor, Colonel Thaddeus Ross “Thunderbolt”, forbids human experimentation. So David conducts experiments on his own. Edith, his wife, gives birth to Bruce Banner shortly after. David discovers that Bruce has inherited his mutant DNA, and he attempts to find a cure. Ross discovers his experiments and shuts down David’s research. David then sets Desert Base’s Gamma reactor on fire to exact revenge. David, believing he is dangerously insane, tries to kill Bruce. Edith accidentally murders David when they get in bed. The trauma causes Bruce to forget his childhood memories. Ross arrests David and takes him to a mental institution. Bruce, who is four years old, is placed in foster care. Bruce is adopted by Mrs. Krenzler, who assumes his surname and grows up believing that his birth parents are dead.
40: The Incredible Hulk
Marvel Movies. General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross meets Dr. Bruce Banner at Culver University, Virginia. Banner is a colleague and boyfriend to his daughter Betty. They discuss an experiment Ross claims will make humans immune from gamma radiation. Ross hopes to replicate the World War II-era “super soldier”, program. Banner transforms into the Hulk when his heart rate exceeds 200 beats per hour after being exposed to gamma radiation. The Hulk causes destruction of the laboratory and its surrounding areas, injuring Betty and several others inside, as well as causing the deaths of many people. Banner is taken as a fugitive by the U.S. military, Ross and others who want to weaponize Hulk. Banner is still searching for a cure and works in Rocinha (Rio de Janeiro), Brazil five years later.
39: Black Widow
Marvel Movies. Super soldier Alexei Shostakov, and Black Widow Melina Volstokoff, work as Russian undercover agents in 1995. They pose as a family with Natasha Romanoff, Yelena Belova, as their daughters. They take S.H.I.E.L.D. They steal information and flee to Cuba, where General Dreykov has Romanoff, Belova and other members taken to the Red Room to train. Over the next decades Shostakov is held in Russia, while Romanoff, Belova, and other assassins become highly successful. Romanoff eventually defected to S.H.I.E.L.D. Clint Barton helped Dreykov bomb Dreykov’s Budapest office. This apparently killed Dreykov along with his daughter Antonia. Romanoff, a fugitive from the Sokovia Accords in 2016, is now a fugitive. She flees from U.S. Secretary Of State Thaddeus Ros and is taken to a Norwegian safehouse provided by Rick Mason.
38: Blade I
Marvel Movies. Blade seeks Abraham Whistler’s mentor in Prague. He was believed to be dead after being attacked and killed by Deacon Frost. Instead, Blade was turned into a vampire, and kept prisoner for two-years. Blade saves Whistler from being killed by Deacon Frost and heals him. Blade’s new young technician, Scud is a marijuana smoker and Whistler meets him. A pandemic has turned vampires into “Reapers”, a primal, mutant creature with a thirst for blood and an infectious bite that transforms humans and vampires alike. Eli Damaskinos, the vampire overlord, sends Asad and Nyssa, his daughter Nyssa, to fight the Reapers. They eventually agree to a truce with Blade, who becomes reluctantly a friend of the vampires. He joins the Bloodpack, an elite group made up of vampires who were originally formed to kill him.
37: X-Men: First Class
In 1944 at Auschwitz concentration camp, Nazi Officer Klaus Schmidt sees Erik Lehnsherr, a young prisoner, bend a metal gate with the help of his mind after being separated from his mother. Schmidt orders Erik to move the coin on his desk and then kills his mother. Erik’s magnetic powers manifest in grief and anger and kills two guards. Separately, in Westchester County New York, Charles Xavier, a child telepath, meets Raven, a young shapeshifter whose natural form, a blue-skinned, scaly creature. He is overjoyed to find someone “different” and invites her to be his foster sister. While Erik seeks Schmidt’s killer, Xavier receives his doctorate at the University of Oxford in Genetics.
36: Avengers: Endgame
Marvel Movies. After acquiring the six Infinity Stones from the Titan Thanos, and reuniting them with the Golden Gauntlet on their behalf, he was able achieve his goal of pulverizing half of the universe in one motion. To fix Thanos’ sin, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers – Steve Rogers, Thor, Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark, Carol Danvers, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, James Rhodes, Nebula, and Rockethope are the only survivors. He is found but he has destroyed the stones, and Thor kills him. As everyone tries to get on with their lives, and forget about the tragic losses, Scott Lang, aka Ant Man, escapes from the Subatomic Dimension, where he has been trapped since Doctor Hank Pym’s disappearance. Janet Van Dyne, Hope Lang and their daughter.
35: Thor
Marvel Movies. The invasion of Earth by the Frost Giants and King Laufey took place in 965. They threatened to plunge Earth into an Ice Age using the Chest of Ancient Winters as their source of power. Odin, the king of Asgard, arrived with his army and fought them. Laufey cut out Odin’s right ear during the battle. Asgard’s army defeated the Frost Giants and returned to Jotunheim, their homeworld. Although the losses were severe, Odin was able to defeat Laufey while capturing the Chest. Odin and his army returned home to Asgard after the last great war. All these creatures from other places became legends and myths in the eyes of men. Present day: Odin’s son Thor is preparing to inherit Asgard’s throne, but the ceremony is disrupted by three Jotuns attempting to seize the Chest.
34: Eternals
Marvel Movies. The Eternals, an ancient alien race that is related to the Celestials, arrived on Earth with the mission of exterminating the Deviants. They did succeed, but they remained hidden among humans for many thousand years, protecting them from their conflicts. The events of Avengers Endgame, in which the Avengers collected all six Infinity Stones. A snap of their fingers on Earth restored half the universe’s population. Thanoshad had died five years earlier. This action unleashed so much energy that the “Emergence.” began. The Eternals, who protect humanity for over 7,000 years, must now step out of their shadows and confront the oldest enemy of humanity: the Deviants. They have seven days to save Earth.
33: Spider-Man – Homecoming
Marvel Movies. After the Battle of New York 2012, Adrian Toomes (and his salvage company) are hired to clean up the city. However, the Department of Damage Control, a partnership between Tony Starks and the U.S. government, takes over their operations. Toomes, furious at being forced out of business, persuades his employees that they keep the Chitauri technology that they have scavenged and make advanced weapons. Toomes also uses it to steal Chitauri power cell cells and a flying Vulture suit. Stark drafts Peter Parker into the Avengers eight years later to assist with a Berlin internal dispute. However, Toomes resumes his studies at Midtown School of Science and Technology after Stark informs him that he isn’t ready to be a full Avenger.
32: Thor – Love and Thunder
Marvel Movies. Love, Gorr’s daughter, is the last member of their race to struggle in a deserted landscape. Love dies despite their prayers to Rapu, their god. Gorr is led to Rapu’s lush realm by the god killing Necrosword. Rapu mocks Gorr and dismisses his plight. He then renounces the god and causes Rapu to strangle Gorr. Gorr is offered the Necrosword, which he kills with and vows to destroy all gods. Gorr is granted the ability manipulate shadows and create monsters, but is cursed with impending corruption and death due to the sword’s influence. Thor joins the Guardians of the Galaxy after Gorr has killed several gods. He then hears from Sif about a distress signal. He splits with the team to find an injured Sif who warns him that Gorr is next target, New Asgard. Thor’s ex-girlfriend Dr. Jane Foster has been diagnosed as having stage four terminal cancer. She travels to New Asgard in the hope that Thor’s hammer Mjolnir might heal her after medical treatment fails.
31: Avengers Infinity War
Marvel Movies. Thanos, aboard Sanctuary II intercepts the ship carrying the last survivors of Asgard a week after seizing Stone of Power on Xandar. The Asgardians issue a distress signal during the attack. Thanos and his adopted children, Ebony Maw (Cull Obsidian), Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and Cull Obsidian enter the Asgardian vessel. Thor is at his most against Thanos’ power and half of the Asgardians die. Loki threatens to kill Thor with his Power Stone if he doesn’t give him the Tesseract containing the Space Stone. Loki claims he has the Tesseract in his possession. Thor thinks that it was destroyed on Asgard. The Hulk then appears, fighting Thanos. However, the latter is easily defeated.
30: Shang-Chi, the Legend of the Ten Rings
Marvel Movies. Xu Wenwu discovers ten magical rings that grant godly powers, including immortality, around a thousand years back. The Ten Rings organization is founded by Xu Wenwu, who conquers kingdoms and overthrows governments across history. Wenwu is on the hunt for Ta Lo in 1996. This village is believed to be home to mythical beasts. He walks through a magical forest until he reaches the village entrance, but is stopped by Ying Li, a guardian. They fall in love and, when Wenwu is rejected by the Ta Lo villagers, Li decides to go with him. They get married and have two children, Shangchi and Xialing. Wenwu leaves his organization and takes the ten rings with him. Wenwu’s enemies the Iron Gang, kill Shang-Chi when he is seven years old. Wenwu re-invents himself as the Ten Rings, kills the Iron Gang and takes over the leadership of his organization.
29: The Wolverine
Marvel Movies. Logan is taken prisoner in a Japanese POW camp close to Nagasaki in August 1945. Logan shields Ichiro Yashida from the blast when the city is bombed with atomic bombs. Logan is a hermit living in the Yukon today, suffering from hallucinations about Jean Grey who he had to kill to save the planet. Yukio, a mutant who can foresee the deaths of others, locates him on behalf of Ichiro (the CEO of a technology-zaibatsu). Ichiro, who is battling cancer, asks Logan to go with him to Japan to repay his life-long debt. Logan is able to meet Shingen, Ichiro’s grandson, and Mariko, his granddaughter. Logan is struck by a strange offer from Ichiro to help him heal. Logan sees this as a curse.
28: Iron Man 2
Marvel Movies. In Russia, media cover Tony Stark’s revelation of his identity as Iron Man. Ivan Vanko, the son of Anton Vanko, a former employee at Stark Industries, is shocked to learn this news and starts building an arc reactor that looks like Stark’s. Six months later, Stark is a media star and refuses to surrender his armored suits. Stark re-institutes the Stark Expo in New York City’s Flushing Meadows -Corona Park to continue his father Howard’s legacy. Stark discovers that the palladium core of the arc reactor, which powers his armor and keeps him alive, is slowly poisoning Stark and that he can’t find a replacement.
27: X-Men Days of Future Past
Marvel Movies. Sentinels, which are robots programmed to kill mutants in a dystopian future 2023 have been created. They attack a small group of X-Men survivors in Moscow consisting of Kitty Pryde (Kitty Pryde), Blink, Warpath and Bishop. The remaining mutants sacrificed themselves to save Kitty, allowing her to send a message to Bishop several days in the past. This would warn them of the approaching attack and help ensure their survival. After avoiding the attack, the group retreats into a remote Chinese temple where Magneto, Storm, Wolverine and Professor Charles Xavier join them. Xavier explains how the Sentinels were created by Bolivar Trask (a weapons designer Raven Darkholme assassinated) in 1971.
26: The Amazing Spider-Man 1
Marvel Movies. Peter Parker, as a child, is playing hide-and-seek with his parents when he discovers his father’s office, a biologist. Richard Parker, Peter’s father, quickly retrieves documents from a hidden drawer and brings his son to Aunt May and Uncle Ben. Richard Parker and his wife disappear a bit later. Peter, a high school photographer at Midtown Science High School, is now a married man. He lives in between Flash Thompson, who is the whipping boy, as well as his feelings for Gwen Stacy. He returns home one evening to find his father’s briefcase hidden in the cellar. Inside are the documents he lost the night before his disappearance.
25: Thor: Ragnarok
Marvel Movies. After the events at Sokovia and the battle with Ultron, Thor set out to discover the Infinity Stones that were not yet resurrected. The Soul Stone and Time Stone. He was imprisoned in Muspellheim two years later after he failed to find the Infinity Stones. He finds Heimdall gone and replaced with Skurge for treachery and Asgard has fallen into decay under his brother Loki.
24: Spider-Man – No Way Home
Marvel Movies. Spider-Man’s secret identity was made public after the events surrounding the clash with Mysterio. The United States government is following him and accusing him of killing Mysterio. He is also being harassed by the media. The event has devastating consequences for his girlfriend MJ Jones-Watson and his best friend Ned. Peter Parker, distraught, then calls Doctor Strange for assistance. Doctor Strange casts a spell that makes everyone forget that Peter is Spider-Man. However, things do not go according to plan and this action alters spacetime’s stability. This creates the “Multiverse”, a terrifying concept that they don’t know much about. He will fight the battle of his life against three formidable supervillains: Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin. The battle will be epic, however, with Electro and the Lizard as his adversaries.
23: Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness
Marvel Movies. America Chavez and Stephen Strange, a version of Stephen Strange, are being chased by a demon while they search for the Book of Vishanti. Strange is killed by Chavez, who accidentally makes a portal to transport herself and Strange’s bodies to Earth-616. There, Strange’s universe version of Strange saves Chavez with the help of Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme. Chavez explains to her that she can travel through the multiverse and is being hunted by the beings. Strange recognizes witchcraft runes and consults Wanda Maximoff to get help. However, she soon realizes that she is the one responsible for the attacks. Maximoff believes controlling Chavez’s power will allow her to reunite Billy and Tommy, her children from Westview. Maximoff kills many sorcerers when Strange refuses to surrender Chavez.
22: Spider-Man Far From Home
Marvel Movies. Maria Hill and Nick Fury investigate an unnatural storm in Ixtenco, Mexico and meet the Earth Elemental. Quentin Beck, a super-powered individual arrives to defeat the creature and is then recruited by Fury & Hill. The Midtown School of Science and Technology in New York City completes its year. It was rebuilt to house the students who were disintegrated five-years earlier due to Thanos’ actions. The Avengers had made them un-aged and they were back. The school arranges a summer field trip to Europe for Peter Parker, who is still grieving the loss of his mentor Tony Stark. Happy Hogan informs Parker Fury plans to contact him. But Parker ignores Fury’s call.
Parker and his classmates go to Venice, Italy where the Water Elemental attacks.
21: Deadpool 1
Marvel Movies. Deadpool attacks Ajax’s convoy. Deadpool begins by eliminating guards in a car before attacking the rest. Deadpool finally captures Ajax after a lengthy skirm, in which he uses only twelve bullets. Ajax escapes by removing his saber from his shoulders after the X-Men Colossus (Negasonic) intervene to stop Deadpool causing panic and rally him towards Professor X. He also learns the real identity of Deadpool, Wade Wilson. Flashbacks take us back to Wade Wilson’s life as a mercenary and his relationship with Vanessa Carlysle, his former prostitute girlfriend. He will live with her for one year before asking for her hand.
20: Deadpool 2
Marvel Movies. Deadpool/Wade Wilson is a mercenary who kills many criminals in the world two years after the events of the original film. He is on a mission in his hometown and is about to kill the drug lord. But he manages to escape. He returns home to mark the anniversary of his first encounter with Vanessa Carlysle. Wade and Vanessa exchange gifts. Vanessa gets an arcade token, while Wade gets the IUD from Wade’s partner. Vanessa tells Wade that she is ready for him to start a family. Wade and Vanessa are attacked by the drug lord’s men later that night. Wade, distraught, chases down the criminal and then hugs him as he drives along the road. A truck speeds past them, killing the Baron. Six weeks later, Deadpool decides that he will end his life by setting fire to his apartment with gasoline barrels.
19: Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel Movies. In 1988, following his mother’s death, a young Peter Quill is abducted from Earth by a group of alien thieves and smugglers called the Ravagers led by Yondu Udonta. In 2014, on the abandoned planet Morag, Quill steals a mysterious Orb, but is attacked by forces of the fanatical Kree renegade Ronan the Accuser led by Korath. Although Quill escapes with the Orb, Yondu discovers his theft and issues a bounty for his capture, while Ronan sends the assassin Gamora after the Orb. When Quill attempts to sell the Orb on Xandar, capital of the Nova Empire, Gamora ambushes him and steals it. A fight ensues, drawing in a pair of bounty hunters: the genetically and cybernetically modified raccoon Rocket, and the tree-like humanoid Groot.
18: Captain America: The First Avenger
Marvel Movies. In the present day, scientists in the Arctic uncover an old, frozen aircraft. In March 1942, Nazi lieutenant general Johann Schmidt and his men steal a mysterious relic called the Tesseract, which possesses untold godly powers, from the town of Tønsberg in German-occupied Norway. In New York City, Steve Rogers is rejected for World War II military recruitment due to his various health and physical problems. While attending an exhibition of future technologies with his best friend, Sgt. James “Bucky” Barnes, Rogers again attempts to enlist. Overhearing Rogers’ conversation with Barnes about representing his country in the war, Dr. Abraham Erskine allows Rogers to enlist. He is recruited into the Strategic Scientific Reserve as part of a “super-soldier” experiment under Erskine, Colonel Chester Phillips, and British MI6 agent Peggy Carter.

In an attempt to change Hiro’s mind about what he calls “a nerd college”, Tadashi decides to take him to the robotics center at his university, the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. He introduces her to his friends and their technological projects: GoGo Tamago, an adrenaline junkie who works on a prototype bicycle, Wasabi, a maniac of order and rules who works on lasers, Honey Lemon, a gifted chemistand overexcited, and Fred, college mascot and die-hard comic book fan.
16: Avengers: Age of Ultron
Marvel Movies. After the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D. , the Avengers ( Iron Man , Thor , Captain America , Hulk , Natasha Romanoff , and Clint Barton ) reunited once again to help Thor find the Scepter of Loki in HYDRA ‘s possession . Funded by Tony Stark and led by Captain America, the Avengers raid HYDRA bases around the world. The Iron Legion (Tony’s drones controlled by JARVIS) is used by the Avengers to prevent collateral damage on civilians during their raids. The Avengers eventually find Baron von Strucker(who is conducting experiments on the scepter) at a HYDRA research base in Sokovia, a small state in Eastern Europe marked by many conflicts. The Avengers launch the assault against this base. The Sokovians take a dim view of the Avengers’ intervention.
15: Ant-Man and the Wasp
Marvel Movies. Following the events in Germany alongside Captain America, Scott Lang was arrested by the police and placed under house arrest in San Francisco for two years. Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne , who provided him with the costume, are believed to be his accomplices and are consequently wanted, but are unsuccessful as father and daughter use their technology to shrink their vehicles and lab in order to hide. Scott tries to manage the security company he has just created with his friends Luis, Dave and Kurt, and to assume his responsibilities as a father towards his daughter Cassie who visits him regularly.
14: Captain America: Civil War
Marvel Movies. In 1991, the brainwashed super-soldier James “Bucky” Barnes is dispatched from a Hydra base in Siberia to intercept an automobile carrying a case of super-soldier serum. In the present day, approximately one year after Ultron is defeated by the Avengers in the nation of Sokovia, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Sam Wilson, and Wanda Maximoff stop Brock Rumlow from stealing a biological weapon from a lab in Lagos. Rumlow blows himself up, attempting to kill Rogers. Maximoff telekinetically diverts the explosion, accidentally destroying a nearby building and killing several Wakandan humanitarian workers in the process. Thaddeus Ross, the U.S. Secretary of State, informs the Avengers that the United Nations (UN) is preparing to pass the Sokovia Accords, which will establish a UN panel to oversee and control the team.
13: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Marvel Movies. New York City teenager Miles Morales struggles to live up to the expectations of his father, police officer Jefferson Davis, who sees Spider-Man as a menace. Miles adjusts to prep school, and visits his uncle Aaron Davis, who takes him to an abandoned subway station to paint graffiti. Miles is bitten by a radioactive spider and gains spider-like abilities similar to Spider-Man. Returning to the station, Miles discovers a collider built by Wilson Fisk, who hopes to access parallel universes to bring back his late wife and son, whose deaths he blames on Spider-Man. Miles watches as Spider-Man attempts to disable the collider while fighting Wilson’s henchmen, Green Goblin and the Prowler. Spider-Man saves Miles, but Green Goblin shoves Spider-Man into the collider, causing an explosion that kills Goblin and severely wounds Spider-Man.
12: Logan
In 2029, mutants are on the brink of extinction. Indeed, no new mutant has come into the world for 25 years. Logan, who now knows his real name is James Howlett , works as a limousine driver in Texas . His healing factor has greatly weakened and his body has aged as the adamantium from his skeleton slowly poisons him. Logan lives in an old abandoned factory in the Chihuahua desert alongside the mutant Caliban , able to detect the presence of other mutants, but also Professor X , who has Alzheimer’s disease.and prone to frequent seizures during which he loses control of his powers; Logan has been taking care of him since the School for Mutants closed . At the same time, Logan begins to gather money over the months in order to buy a boat and be able to live at sea with the two other mutants, so as to protect the population from Charles’ crises.
11: Ant-Man
In San Francisco , after 3 years in prison for burglary, Scott Lang is taken in by his former cellmate Luis. Scott then attempts to find a job, as desistance would allow him to gain visitation rights for his 7 year old daughter Cassie , with his ex-wife Maggie, who has settled down with police officer Paxton. Meanwhile, Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym comes out of retirement, invited by Dr. Darren Cross, his former assistant who ousted him from the management of Pym Technologies, to attend the demonstration of his new project: the Yellowjacket, a costume that reduces the size of its wearer to that of an insect, like the legendary super hero Ant-Man from which he is inspired. Hope van Dyne is the only one who knows that her father Hank was really Ant-Man and this in duet with her mother Janet, alias the Wasp .
10: Doctor Strange
In 2017 , in Nepal , Kaecilius, a master of the Mystical Arts turned zealot, intrudes with his zealot disciples in the library of the sanctuary of Kamar-Taj. After killing the librarian, they take two pages from the Book of Cagliostro. The Elder tries to stop his ex-student but fails, his disciple managing to flee. In New York , Dr. Stephen Strange , a very gifted and renowned neurosurgeon , prepares to give a speech at a dinner given in his honor. His recklessness on the road causes him to have a terrible accident at the wheel of his Lamborghini . Found hours later, he is informed by his friend and former lover , Dr. Christine Palmer, that her hand injuries are irreversible. Strange tries various techniques to regain his legendary dexterity, spending his entire fortune on experimental procedures, but each failure makes him more bitter and hateful. Christine ends up leaving him alone.
9: X-Men
In 1963, the X-Men are a group of five young student superheroes created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics . They learn to master their powers, helped by their mentor: Professor Xavier, a paraplegic and telepath, who welcomes them to his specialized school for young mutants. Stan Lee said he used the genetic aspect of the mutation to create many characters with superpowers, without having to invent a particular origin for each 2 . The X-Men all wear the same black and yellow costume, with a belt surmounted by a characteristic X-shaped buckle. Their faces are masked in order to preserve their identity when they intervene in public, in front of the bad mutants. Their adventures are made of action and fights, in the face of the dangers that threaten the population.
8: X-Men 2
The X-Men are on the hunt for a strange mutant named Kurt Wagner who has broken into the Oval Office in an attempt to assassinate the President of the United States . The attack made public opinion increasingly hostile towards mutants. While Professor Xavier and Cyclops visit Erik Lensherr in his prison to find out if he is involved, Xavier discovers that a certain William Stryker , a military man who seems to know a lot about Wolverine ‘s past , has been extracting information from Magneto. Stryker, aided by his assistant Yuriko Oyama, abducts Professor X and his disciple. From then on, he launches a raid on Manor X, thus seizing the plans of Cerebro and six mutants. Among the survivors are Rogue , Pyro , Iceberg , Kitty Pryde , Colossus , Wolverine, and other students who escaped through the various exit corridors.
7: Captain Marvel
Vers is a soldier living on the planet Hala, capital of the Kree civilization , a humanoid people with highly advanced technology. She has no memories of her life dating back more than six years, but has nightmares that seem to contain scenes from her past. Although she can shoot jets of energy from her hands, her superior, Yon-Rogg, tries to teach her to better control her emotions in order to become a better unarmed fighter. He explains that his powers were given to him with a device grafted into his neck and that they can be taken away from him. Whenever Vers comes into contact with the Supreme Intelligence (an artificial intelligence that rules the Kree civilization), it appears to him as a white-haired woman who is supposed to be someone close to him, but Vers doesn’t recognize her.
6: Spider-Man ( 2002 )
On a school trip, high school senior Peter Parker visits a Columbia University genetics laboratory with his best friend Harry Osborn and his crush Mary Jane Watson. There, a genetically engineered “super-spider” bites him, and he falls ill upon returning home. Meanwhile, Harry’s father Norman Osborn, a scientist and the founder and owner of Oscorp, tries to secure an important military contract. He experiments on himself with an unstable performance-enhancing chemical and goes insane, killing his assistant. The next day, Peter finds he is no longer near-sighted and has developed spider-like abilities: he can shoot webs out of his wrists and has quick reflexes, superhuman speed and strength, and a heightened ability to sense danger.
5: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Two years after the Battle of New York,Steve Rogers works in Washington, D.C., for the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., while adjusting to contemporary society. During a mission alongside Agent Natasha Romanoff and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s counter-terrorism S.T.R.I.K.E. team led by Agent Brock Rumlow to free hostages aboard a S.H.I.E.L.D. vessel from pirates led by Georges Batroc, Rogers discovers Romanoff has another agenda: to extract data from the ship’s computers. Returning to the Triskelion, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s headquarters, Rogers confronts Director Nick Fury and is briefed about Project Insight: three Helicarriers linked to spy satellites, designed to preemptively eliminate threats. Unable to decrypt Romanoff’s data, Fury becomes suspicious about Insight and asks senior S.H.I.E.L.D. official and Secretary of Internal Security Alexander Pierce to delay the project.
4: Iron Man
Tony Stark , playboy, billionaire, is not only the heir of his father’s arms factories ( Stark Industries ), he is also a genius inventor. While he is traveling in Afghanistan to present his latest creation, the Jericho missile, he is kidnapped by terrorists from the organization “The Ten Rings”. Seriously injured during the attack, he only survives thanks to the help of a scientist, Professor Yinsen, who grafts an electromagnet powered by a car battery to his chest in order to prevent bursts of shells from reaching his heart. Not yielding to the threats of terrorists who want him to reproduce his missile, he manufactures, instead and in the greatest secrecy, a miniaturized reactor called “ARK reactor” to replace the car battery, and primary armor.
3: Black Panther
Millions of years ago, a vibranium meteorite crashed into Africa. Later, five tribes settled in the area and founded the nation of Wakanda. They were always at war with each other until a warrior, guided by a vision of Bast, the panther goddess, discovered the properties of the “heart-grass” and increased his physical abilities after ingesting it. Becoming the first Black Panther, he unified the tribes (with the exception of the Jabari, who decided to go into exile in the mountains), and an era of prosperity began in Wakanda. Over the centuries, the Wakandans have used vibranium to develop highly advanced technology while isolating themselves from the rest of the world, obscuring their capital from outside view with a force field and masquerading as a Third World country. In 1992 , during a coverage mission in Oakland , California , Prince N’Jobu increasingly deplored Wakanda’s isolationist policy, and harbored the project of sharing his technology with populations of African descent all over the world, to rise up against their oppressors.
2: Spider-Man 2
It’s been two years since Peter Parker spent his time between his classes, his hobbies and fighting evildoers under the identity of Spider-Man. Mary Jane Watson is soon to marry John Jameson , the son of J. Jonah Jameson (the editor of the Daily Bugle ). For his part, Harry Osborn is still seeking revenge against the Spider-Man he holds responsible for the death of his father, Norman Osborn . Peter struggles to find balance in his life: he arrives late for almost all of his classes and struggles to earn a few dollars to pay his rent. As part of a project funded by Oscorp , Harry invites Peter to meet Doctor Otto Octavius who, convinced that he had discovered such a powerful and renewable source of energy at will, similar to the sun, has developed intelligent mechanical arms that allow fusion to be manipulated remotely.
1: The Avengers
The Asgardian Loki encounters the Other, the leader of an extraterrestrial race known as the Chitauri. In exchange for retrieving the Tesseract, a powerful energy source of unknown potential, the Other promises Loki an army with which he can subjugate Earth. Nick Fury, director of the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., arrives at a remote research facility, where physicist Dr. Erik Selvig is leading a team experimenting on the Tesseract. The Tesseract suddenly activates and opens a wormhole, allowing Loki to reach Earth. Loki steals the Tesseract and uses his scepter to enslave Selvig and other agents, including Clint Barton, to aid him. In response, Fury reactivates the “Avengers Initiative”. Agent Natasha Romanoff heads to Kolkata to recruit Dr. Bruce Banner to trace the Tesseract through its gamma radiation emissions.
