Update: Crunchyroll has announced that it will premiere the episode at New York Comic Con on October 13 at 5:00 PM ET. The screening will be hosted at Empire Stage, and limited edition character cards will be given out.
Original: The My Hero Academia anime is getting a new original OVA titled “U.A. Heroes Battle,” which will be screened for a week in 10 Japanese theaters from October 20 with Episodes 136 to 138 of the series.
“U.A. Heroes Battle” will depict a card game battle between the students of U.A. High School’s Class 1-A. Chronologically, the OVA is set during winter vacation, right before the events of the Endeavor Agency Arc.
Viewers who attend the theater screenings will receive two post cards, one featuring the “U.A. Heroes Battle” visual and the other featuring the “Deku Modotte Koi” (“Deku, come back to us”) visual from Season 6 of the series.
My Hero Academia is inspired by the Shueisha-published manga series by Kouhei Horikoshi, which began serialization in 2014 and has 38 tankoubon volumes as of June 2023. The manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published under the Jump Comics label.

The seventh season of the Bones-produced anime series is currently in production, and a fourth anime movie is also in the works. The series debuted in 2016.
