Marvel is hosting an actual Hellfire gala at the SDCC

Marvel brings the X-Men’s Hellfire Gala to life at San Diego Comic-Con 2023.

On May 19, the upcoming event was announced by Marvel in a statement explaining that she and D23: The Official Disney Fan Club “cordially invite you to the first-ever actual Hellfire Gala.” The statement also implores attendees to “dress in their best superpowered style and make sure to bring their mutant fashion game to the green carpet.”

The Hellfire Gala event at San Diego Comic-Con is inspired by the comic book crossover of the same name which debuted in 2021 and featured the mutant nation of Krakoa going all out for an evening to remember, complete with mutants and humans appearing at their best to shock and amaze both the crowd and the world at large. Since then, the Hellfire Gala has become an annual event, which tends to attract the attention of Moira MacTaggert and other Marvel villains.

2023 Hellfire Gala

Among the experiences offered by Comic-Con’s version of the Hellfire Gala are the Green Lagoon, inspired by Krakoa’s famous watering hole and karaoke spot, the Hellfire Ballroom, where the event’s main offerings will take place, and the spooky Lair X. the latter of these dedicated spaces will give fans a chance to enjoy over 60 years of mutant history, but not without the presence of its own bar, lounge area and dance floor.

While X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 #1, which premieres July 26, will showcase all the action and drama from this year’s eponymous event as it unfolds, Marvel fans can start collecting Hellfire Gala variants of their favorite titles. from July 5. in previous years, these variations will feature Marvel’s iconic heroes and villains in their gala attire presented by a host of star artists such as Jen Bartel, Dustin Nguyen, Michele Bandini and Bryan Hitch.

The Hellfire Gala event at San Diego Comic-Con takes place Saturday, July 22 at PARQ Nightclub from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are on sale for D23 members now on the official D23 website and are available from US$65.
