The latest on CM Punk’s status with AEW
On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan will announce the location of the first episode of AEW Collision, CM Punk’s status for the show remains unclear. The latest update on CM Punk’s status with AEW comes from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.
Apparently, CM Punk and AEW have been keeping in touch over the past week. AEW sent documents to CM Punk regarding talking about “certain topics” and making sure CM Punk appeared on his scheduled TV dates.
Additionally, according to the report, people close to CM Punk believe he will be part of the first episode of AEW Collision on June 17.
WWE open in the third hour of SmackDown
At JP Morgan Global Technology, Media & Communications Conference, Nick Khan represented WWE.
During the conference, Khan spoke about WWE considering a third hour of SmackDown, among other topics. Additionally, according to Nick Khan, WWE is still debating changing the third hour of Monday Night Raw to make the show more “adult”.
Since 2012, WWE Raw has been running for three hours. Since its debut in 1999, SmackDown has lasted two hours.
Update on Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch’s status with WWE
Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch’s WWE contracts are both set to expire in the first half of 2024. According to a new report from WrestleVotes (via GiveMeSport), WWE loves both and wants both stars to stay.
“I expect the dust to come back, both of them stay. WWE wants them to stay, you know, 1000% until the end – let’s say a lower percentage. They both love them. But, like all top-flight stars, they should see what else is out there. I don’t think WWE cares.
Hulk Hogan launches new CBD brand
Hulk Hogan has announced a new health and wellness brand. With this new product line, Hogan joins WWE Hall of Famers Mike Tyson and Ric Flair in launching a Carma HoldCo brand.
According to a press release, Hogan will serve as Chief Brand Officer for this new wellness line. The product line will include functional mushrooms, CBD and THC.
“Hulk Hogan is larger than life and loved by wrestling fans and non-fans of all ages. His influence spans generations,” said Chad Bronstein, chairman and president of Carma HoldCo.
