Saban Films has dropped The Island trailer for his upcoming action thriller, starring Michael Jai White and Jackson Rathbone. The video features White’s character returning to his hometown after discovering his brother’s death. The film is set to debut in select theaters, on-demand and digital on July 21.

What to expect on the island?
“When his brother is killed, LAPD officer Mark (White) leaves town to return to the island he grew up on,” reads the synopsis. “Searching for answers and ultimately revenge, he soon finds himself in a bloody battle with the corrupt tycoon who has taken over the island paradise.”
The Island is directed by Shaun Paul Piccinino from a screenplay written by Michael Caissie and Philippe Martinez. The film stars Michael Jai White as Mark, Jackson Rathbone as Phil, Gillian White as Akilah, Gabriel Rodriguez as Jose, Cami Storm as Norah, Wayne Gordon as Wayland, Amber Townsend as Carla, and more.
The film is produced by Lee Beasley, Karinne Behr, Alastair Burlingham, Danny Chan, Charlie Dombek, JT Foxx, Lisa Gabriel, Jacob Katsman and Gary Raskin, with Alan Latham and Philippe Martinez serving as producers.
