It was recently revealed that the romance of Daisuke Hagiwara and Hero, a slice of life manga Horimiya will return with new chapters from July 2023.
According to the source, 3 new chapters are expected to be released from the monthly issue of G-Fantasy 8/2023, which will be released on July 18, 2023.
In addition, a 17th volume of the manga, entitled “A piece of memories, containing the new chapters with additional content will also be released. A 3rd Twitter illustration artbook by Hagiwara Daisuke will also be available.
Horimiya the manga had ended on March 18, 2021.
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is a Japanese shonen web manga series written and illustrated by Hiroki Adachi, under the pseudonym Hero. It was self-published on Hero’s website, Dokkai Ahen, from February 2007 to December 2011 in a four-panel format.
The series received print publication by Square Enix, which compiled the chapters into ten volumes under its Gangan Comics imprint from October 2008 to December 2011. Additional side-story chapters were compiled as Hori-san to Miyamura-kun Omake.
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun was adapted into six original video animation series.
Daisuke Hagiwara adapted the manga under the supervision of Hero under the title Horimiyawhich was serialized in Monthly G Fantasy from October 2011 to March 2021, and is published in English by Yen Press.
An anime television series adaptation of Horimiya produced by CloverWorks aired from January to April 2021. A live-action and television drama adaptation premiered in February 2021.
A second anime series, titled Horimiya: Songis set to air in July 2023.
