Henry Cavill’s journey as Geralt of Rivia is coming to an end as he won’t be returning for The Witch Season 4. This announcement comes after Cavill rejoins the DC Universe as Superman.
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with monsters and adventures, and sadly, I will be laying down my medals and sword for Season 4,” said Cavill. “In my place, the fantastic Mr Liam Hemsworth will take over the White Wolf’s cloak. As with the greatest literary characters, I give the torch with respect for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm for seeing Liam’s take on this most interesting and nuanced man. Liam good lord this character has great depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find. ”
Liam Hemsworth, who is the brother of Chris Hemsworth, is best known for his role as Gale Hawthorne in Hunger Games film series and as Jake Morrison in Independence Day: Resurrection.
“As Witch I’m really excited about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” said Hemsworth. “Henry Cavill has been a wonderful Geralt, and I am honored that he gave me the reins and allowed me to take the White Wolf sword for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I have been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill but I’m really excited to step up The Witch world. ”
