Hell’s Paradise Episode 8 Recap
Tenza remembers how he grew up as a street urchin, robbing and beating people to survive. At present, Tenza and Nurugai continue to roam around the island. Suddenly a Tensen appears and Tenza manages to slice them before Tenza and Nurugai run away. Shion saves them from the Tensens, giving the three of them time to escape. Shion explains that he was on his way back to the mainland but didn’t find any current leaving the island.
Tenza suggests the three of them find more people to try to find their way home. Shion asks why Tenza is protecting Nurugai, and he says he executed his criminal because she tried to seduce him. Tenza explains her reasons for helping Nurugai, and Shion agrees. Eventually, the Tensen catches up to them. Shion sustains throat damage and Tenza uses her sword to cut the Tensen again. However, the Tensen hits Tenza with mortal wounds.
In a flashback, Shion welcomed Tenza because he sensed potential within him. Tenza is fed up and wants to quit. Shion allows it on the condition that Tenza lands a blow on her. One day, Eizen takes Tenza to a graveyard, where he mentions how Shion had to execute one of his former cadets. Tenza begins punching the Tensen, sacrificing herself so Shion and Nurugai can escape.
