Mangaka Hiroyuki and Shonen Magazine announced on their official Twitter account on May 24, 2023 that girlfriend, girlfriend the manga ended after being serialized on Kodansha Shōnen Weekly Magazine for more than 3 years.
The latest chapter 144 was published in issue 25 of the magazine which was released on May 24, 2023.
The author also dropped an illustration featuring Saki Saki, Rika Hoshizaki, Shino Kiryuu, and Nagisa Minase to commemorate the end of the manga.
girlfriend, girlfriend is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from March 2020 to May 2023, and was compiled into fifteen tankobon volumes in April 2023.
An anime television series adaptation by Tezuka Productions airs from July to September 2021 on the Animeism programming block. A second season of SynergySP is set to air in October 2023.

After nurturing an unrequited love for years, Naoya Mukai is finally dating her childhood friend, Saki Saki. However, as he tries to commit to this relationship, he receives an abrupt confession from Nagisa Minase.
At first, Naoya tries to reject her but is quickly overwhelmed with a feeling of not wanting to hurt Nagisa. Trying to avoid betraying his girlfriend’s trust in him, Naoya thinks of a “solution” to make the two girls happy – in two steps. Naturally, Saki rejects this idea, but thanks to Naoya and Nagisa’s persistence, she reluctantly submits.
With this, a three-way affair begins between Naoya, his girlfriend, and his “other” girlfriend, as they develop a relationship that deviates from the social norm.
