Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield to Star in We Live in Time

According to a report by Deadline , Oscar nominees Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield are currently in negotiations for the lead roles in the upcoming StudioCanal drama We Live In Time . The news of their involvement comes after Pugh and Garfield recently jointly presented the Best Screenplay Award at the 2023 Academy Awards. The film is described as a “funny, deeply moving and profound love story.” All other plot details are being kept under wraps for now.

The film will be directed by BAFTA winner John Crowley, who has directed films such as Brooklyn and The Goldfinch. Although most of his focus is on the world of films, he has also directed several episodes of television series, including True Detective and most recently, Life After Life . We Live in Time was written by Nick Payne who also wrote The Crown script . His most recent work is writing the script for The Last Letter from Your Lover on Netflix.

Throughout their careers, Pugh and Garfield have proven their versatile acting skills, making them the perfect couple for the upcoming film. Although Pugh has starred in several notable films since the mid-2010s, he made a splash with Ari Aster’s Midsommar . Even with the memes that followed, Pugh left a huge impression on audiences. She continued with her role as Amy March in the 2019 version of Little Women , and has continued to build a solid repertoire since then. Most recently, he starred in the controversial Don’t Worry Darling , and DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots : The Last Wish. We Live in Time doesn’t have a release date at this time. The film is targeted to begin production this year.
