Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves recently released a promo highlighting the creatures that will be encountered in the film.
Paramount has just introduced some of the fantastical and wacky creatures that will be included in theupcoming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie. Yes, Paramount has just released a promotional video in the form of a preview for Paramount Insiders. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be released in theaters on March 31, 2023. But don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to prepare yourself to face Owlbears and Gelatinous Cubes.
This newly released short video is over a minute long and serves as an introduction to some of the creatures that will be featured in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves . The clip begins with Chris Pine , who plays Edgin the Bard, taking us deep into the magical world of Dungeons & Dragons. He asked the question: “what creatures will you meet when you watch the new film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves?” Well, there are some.
First, as Pine said, you will meet Owlbear which is a terrible combination of owl and bear. And as Pine points out, this creature somehow combines all the fearsome powers of a bear without the gentleness and cuteness of an owl. Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Holga the Barbarian then introduces Mimic, a creature that can imitate anything. Other creatures introduced in the video include the famous Gelatinous Cube, which can disarm its victims, the Displacer Beast, which has tentacles and has the ability to hide, and the Intellect Devourer, a walking brain. Also introduced in the new video is the adorable Themberchaud, an enormous dragon who, just maybe, has eaten some other dragons before the explorers found him.
Based on the acclaimed and beloved table-top game that has graced living rooms and kitchen tables for nearly fifty years, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is about a group of adventurers made up of assorted characters who go on an epic quest to pull off a heist that seems impossible. Led by a charming thief, the group’s journey turns into chaos when they come into conflict with the wrong people. The new film will bring the rich fantasy elements of the original game along with Dungeons & Dragon’s signature, fun-filled spirit of gaming to the big screen for a hilarious, fast-paced adventure.
In addition to Pine and Rodriguez, the new video introduces some of the film’s main cast, including Regé-Jean Page as Xenk the Paladin, and Justice Smith as Simon the Sorcerer. Also starring in the film, though not featured in the new video, are Hugh Grant, who plays Forge in the film as well as Sophia Lillis, who plays a wizard named Doric. The film is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley from a screenplay written by Goldstein, Daley, and Michael Gilio.
