Detective Conan 2023 Film To Premiere During Golden Week

Toho has revealed that next Detective Conan/Case is closed The film will premiere during the 2023 Golden Week holiday period.

Previously Detective Conan the film had premiered towards the start of Golden Week but not during the period itself.

Details about the 26th Detective Conan The film is largely unknown, but the announcement video suggests that the plot will focus on Ai Haibara. The kanji for “black” was also revealed to be part of the subtitles.

Previously Detective Conan film, Halloween Bride, premiered in Japan on April 15 this year. It is currently the 44th highest-grossing film in the country with 9.68 billion yen (~US$65.99 million) as well as the highest-grossing film in the franchise.

Gosho Aoyamamanga published by Shogakukan, titled in English as Detective Conan by Shogakukan Asia and Case is closed by Viz Media, started in 1994 and has 102 tankoubon volumes as of September 2022. It is serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. A TV anime adaptation began in 1996 and is still ongoing. There have also been various spinoffs and OVA adaptations.
