Crunchyroll has announced that it will host a nostalgic 1990s anime music dance experience at music venue Terminal 5 on November 19, 2022, during NYC Anime weekend. Doors will open at 7 p.m. EST and the show will begin at 8 p.m. EST. Participants must bring proof of identity as this will be an 18+ show.
The Y2K Anime Party will feature performances from various DJs from around the world, including D-YAMA, DJ WILDPARTY, TEDDYLOID and JVNA. Some of these artists have previously appeared on Porter RobinsonSecond Heaven music festival which happened last October.
The music show will be themed around the aesthetics and soundscapes of 1999 in celebration of anime and music. Participants will be transported to a slice of Akihabara, the 1990s Tokyo nightclub scene with live music, supercharged trailers from the current anime series, photo ops, and games.
