Creepshow Returns For A New Volume With Ennis, Cloonan, And More

Skybound Entertainment brings horror show back for a second volume with contributions from Garth Ennis, Becky Cloonan and more.


CBR may exclusively disclose horror show returns for a second volume in September 2023 from Skybound Entertainment. The first issue of the five-issue miniseries features stories by Garth Ennis (Preacher, The boys), Becky Cloonan (wonder woman) and Phil Hester (Gotham City: Year One). Other creators involved in Scary Show Volume 2 include Michael Walsh, Dan Watters, Abigail Larson, Zoe Thorogood, Joel Farrelly, Nick Dragotta, Alisa Kwitney, Saladin Ahmed, Joe Quinones, Tim Daniel, DB Andry and Matthew Roberts, among others who will be announced at a later date.

Each number of Scary Show Volume 2 includes two different stand-alone stories full of terror, monsters and more. The editor teased the first issue, “In the first issue of the second volume, macabre master Garth Ennis and superstar designer Becky Cloonan team up for the very first time to deliver a disturbing tale of the unborn. Next, the bizarre Phil Hester tells the story of a grieving son who breaks the laws of nature to see his mother one last time…it can’t end well!”


Creepshow scares Skybound

The first volume of Skybound Entertainment horror show launched in 2022. horror show was originally an anthology film directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King which was released in 1984. Two sequels followed, with scary show 2 released in 1987 and Spooky Show 3which was a direct-to-video film, in 2007. Greg Nicotero shot horror show in a television series, which aired on Shudder in 2019 and has so far run for three seasons. Under license from Cartel Entertainment, Brian Witten oversees Scary Show Volume 2 on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions.

Scary Show Volume 2 #1 features a cover by Guillem March, a variant cover by Cloonan, and an incentive login variant cover by Skinner. The issue comes out September 12, 2023 from Skybound Entertainment.
