An anime based on the character Chibi Godzilla will begin airing on April 1 in Japan. The teaser trailer and key visual have been released.
The cast for the show, entitled Chibi Godzilla no Gyakushuu (Chibi Godzilla Counterattack), including Jun Fukuyama, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Takuya Eguchi, Rie Takahashi, Hiro Shimono, Fumihiko Tachiki, Miyuki SawashirHi, Reina UedaAnd Akari Kitou.
Taketo Shinkai (Anime Kaisha de Hanasu Koto ka yo) directed the anime with illustrator Chiharu Sakazaki (Chibi Godzilla designer) as the character designer. Pie in the skyco-founded by Shinkai and serving as creative director, is an animation production company.
The Chibi Godzilla design was first announced in 2018, a year earlier Godzilla65th birthday. They have been used for T-shirts, onesies, pocket books, and more.
