During Lionsgate’s latest earnings call (via Comicbook), Drake opened up about the future of the hit franchise, revealing that the creative team has three more John Wick projects in development.
“We’re going through this franchise now, not just in the AAA video game space, but looking at what’s the steady cadence of the spinoffs, television is really growing this universe so that there’s a steady cadence of a franchise that has a clear appetite by the public,” Drake said. “What is official is that, as you know, Ballerina is the first spin-off that will be released next year. We are in the process of developing three more, including [John Wick: Chapter 5] and whose television series, The Continental, will soon air. And so, we’re building the world and when these five films come along, they’ll be organic – will be organically developed from how we start telling these stories.
