America’s Got Talent’s Michael Grimm hospitalized and sedated

Michael Grimm faces a tough health battle.

The singer, who won America’s Got Talent in 2010, was hospitalized and sedated last week as doctors try to find answers about his unknown illness, his wife Lucia Zolcerova-Grimm shared on Facebook on June 6. He was on a ventilator until June 6 and is now in stable condition.

She said the 44-year-old “had a lot of trouble with his health” over the past two months and lacked energy. After taking him to the emergency room and seeing doctors, she said they couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

“Memorial Day kind of took it,” Lucie explained. “He looked more and more sickly.” Michael wasn’t able to answer her right away, walk well or raise his head, so she “rushed” him to the ER. “He started talking gibberish,” she recalled, adding that physical tremors were setting in.

Michael has spent the past week in intensive care, with Lucie explaining: “For the safety of his health, they had to put him on a ventilator and put him to sleep quite heavily, so he wouldn’t have a stroke, so that ‘it does not collapse.
