The music world has lost one of them.
Aaron Carterformer child star and sister of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, died November 5, his representative confirmed to E! News. He is 34 years old.
“It is with great regret,” a musician’s representative said in a statement, “to report that Aaron Carter was found this unconscious at his home in Palmdale, CA.”
TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, reported a 9-1-1 call was made, noting a man had drowned in the residence. However, while homicide detectives were dispatched as per protocol, there was no information or evidence of fraud. The cause of Aaron’s death has not been revealed.
A spokesperson for the Lancaster Sheriff’s Office confirmed to E! News that officers arrived at Aaron’s home but gave no further details.
Aaron, who rose to fame in 1997 with the hit “Crush on You,” is survived by an 11-month-old son, Lord (with ex Melanie Martin).
