10 Great Movies to Watch With ‘House of the Dragon’ Cast After Season One

With HBO’s latest venture to Westeros Dragon Houseviewers around the world have spent the last ten weeks re-acquainting themselves with the world they love while watching Game of Thrones. Includes a new story, new characters and of course, a new cast to obsess over.

So with the debut season now well wrapped up, and with a second season seemingly years away, here’s a list of ten movies fans can watch right now, to put it right. Dragon House cast.


Wonder Woman (2017)

Before he plays Game of Thrones in Dragon House as Queen Alicent Hightower, actress Emily Carey played the young Prince Diana, Queen of the Amazons herself, AKA Wonder Woman.

Directed by Patty Jenkins,Mighty womanwas a huge success for DC and the director, who at the time was best known for his work in the television industry. Receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics alike, the film grossed $821 million at the international box office, making it the tenth highest-grossing film of 2017.

Last Night in Soho (2021)

No stranger to the screen audience, actor Matt Smith appears in this psychological horror as the main antagonist, Jack. A talent agent in the 1960s whose face is charming, hiding his cruel and violent nature.

Last Night in Sohotakes viewers through a careful and beautiful reimagining of 1960s Soho where evil deeds are hidden in the shadows. Directed by a powerhouse filmmaker Edgar Wrightfamous for his projects with actors and writers Simon Pegg wearing Cornetto Trilogy which contain Shaun The Dead,Hot Fuzzand The end of the world.

Shoes of the Dead (2004)

Putting on a heart-wrenching performance as King Viserys I Targaryen, Rice Considine inhabits the mind of a man whose body has slowly deteriorated over the last decades of his life. Earning the buzz of the Oscars, audiences will likely be ready to see more of Considine.

The Hobbit Trilogy (2012)

Matt Smith is his co-star Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean), Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter) and each other Dragon House partner Rhys Ifans, in this R-rated crime thriller.

Retelling a true story Katharine Gun who, during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, leaked secret NSA memos exposing a joint US-UK joint illegal spy operation against members of the UN Security Council. Directed by Gavin Hood (Ender Game) this film offers a good hit from some real-life espionage.

The Witches (1999)

Bill Paterson had a film career that spanned nearly fifty years, best known for his roles in Witches, flea bag, Outsider and now Dragon Houseamong many others.

Based on classic Roald Dahl novel, Witches tells the story of a young boy who seeks to destroy a group of wizards after he turns into a rat. Directed by renowned cinematographer Nicolas Roegthe film has had a lasting impact on those who grew up with it in the 90s and has established itself as a classic.

Halloween (2018)

British actor Jefferson Hall now best known for his roles as the Casterly Rock twins Lord Jason and Ser Tyland Lannister. Before landing his dual role in dragon house, Hall appeared in Game of Thrones‘ first season as Ser Hugh of Vale, met his rather quick end at the hands of The Mountain.

While Hall did have some minor roles like Christopher Nolan Principle and JJ Abram Star Wars: The Force Awakensit’s in 2018s Halloweenthat Hall would have a real impact on the story. Playing a slightly overzealous podcaster, Halls character Aaron Korey tries to lure Michael Myers into his first interview.
